Early LIFE
Oskar Schindler was born into a wealthy German family on April 28th, 1908 in Zwittau, Moravia. Oskar's father, Hans Schindler, was a factory owner while his mother, Franziska Luser, was a pious homemaker. In the 1920s, Schindler sold farm equipment for his father's company. Despite his father's success, the factory became bankrupt due to the economic depression of the 1930s.
